Paperless / Mobile Delivery Upgrade
Wyvern Cargo has entrered in a 2 year agreement with O2 for the provision of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system operated by IBM Maas360 to enable cab phones to be more secure, tracked and updated with ease.
The agreement coincides with the purchase of 40 new rugged Android devices to enable the fleet to offer a paperless delivery system, where possible, and increases our efforts to offer a more environmentally friendly service.
The MDM enables software updates and delivery apps to be pushed to each phone at the click of a button.
New Trailers Purchased
Wyvern Cargo has purchased 10 new 45ft artic tautliner trailers from Deker Trailers in the livery of valued customer British Fires, a brand of Focal Point Fires, Christchurch.
Focal Point Fires have contributed towards the trailers as part of a 3 year curtain livery agreement. The programme is the second edition of an agreement that previously saw 10 trailers purchased in 2010 in Focal Point Fires livery.
Keep an eye out for the eye-catching trailers around the country.

LST Double Decker
Thanks to Allports Group (Deker Trailers) won 10th June 2021 Wyvern Cargo collected it’s first LST Double Deck trailer.
This extra long trailer allows for an additional 8 pallets to be trunked between ourselves and the Palletforce Hub in Burton on Trent and improves our environmental impact.
We look forward to seeing it working in practice.
John Probert
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce that our Founder and Chairman, John Probert, passed away on Thursday 18 February 2021. He was our guiding light since starting the business in 1975 and he was always a forceful, generous and invaluable presence.
John started the business from scratch and worked vigorously and endlessly to build the business we have today. His sometimes slightly eccentric and excitable nature endeared him to all.
Always dedicated to our customers and staff, he was very much respected both within the Wyvern family and also the wider transport industry.
Wyvern Cargo was his passion and he moulded it in his own image to be the best it could be. We will continue to offer our first class service to you which was so important to him and continues to be our philosophy and his legacy.
Rest in peace John

BRCGS AA Achieved Again!
We are delighted to have been awarded a AA grade against the British Retail Consortium Global Standard for the 2nd successive year.
This certification is thanks to the fantastic efforts of all staff at Wyvern Cargo and we are thrilled to have been audited to such a high standard once more.
Both our Poole and Christchurch warehouses were audited together under a mulit-site audit and are now officially joined under one certification.
Our storage and distribution processes are mirrored across both sites to ensure we operate to the highest standard possible.
The new certificate is available to view in the Certification area of the website.

New Year, New Fleet!
The end of the Christmas and New Year period is always an exciting time as each year we say goodbye to tractor units that have come to the end of their contracts are replaced by brand new models.
2021 is slightly different as we move to a brand new fleet of MAN and DAF equipment which has seen 10 new single and double shift trucks arrive at our Poole depot.
Keep an eye out for these on the roads of England, Wales and Scotland through 2021 and beyond!

New Member of the Year Award 2020
Wyvern Cargo Ltd is delighted to have received the New Member of the Year Award from the Palletforce Network. Having joined the network from Fortec during 2019 we only became eligible in 2020 and are delighted to receive the award.
The change of network was a major upheaval for the business but customers have since reported on excellent service levels and the change has proved to be a great success. Volumes have steadily grown from our customer base and deliveries in the local area have increased at the same rate.
During the Virtual Awards Gala Palletforce commented: “Congratulations to Wyvern Cargo Ltd being crowned winners of the New Member Award. After joining the Palletforce network in February 2019, the Dorset-based depot has gone from strength to strength. Congratulations!”
Thank you to Palletforce for this award and we look forward to celebrating in person when the time is right.
